此剧以一为小岛提供医疗服务的医疗船为素材，讲述有各自不同故事的医生，通过搭乘船只，辗转在医疗设施不足的小岛上进行医疗活动的故事。。Birdcatcher Esmar and his wife Johanna face eviction from their farm in Gásadalur unless they have a son. Desperation sets in when Johanna gives birth to their third daughter. Pushed to the brink, Johanna is impregnated by another man, a French Captain, and gives birth to a son, known as ‘the birdcatcher’s son’. Everything seems perfect until the French Captain returns.。
